Accessibility statement (DRAFT)

This is a draft. It describes the goal for joshuatreecleaning.com and the limits of what we know today. It is not a certification, and it is not a promise that the site is free of barriers.

What we are aiming for

Joshua Tree Cleaning wants this website to be usable by people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or their own contrast settings. The target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

This draft is not a legal warranty and it is not an official audit sign-off. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the goal we are working toward.

What we have checked in code

In November 2026 we reviewed every public page: the homepage and instant quote, the services page, ten town and service pages, the 404 page, and this statement. The review used automated tools (axe-core and Pa11y) and scripted browser checks for keyboard use, focus, contrast, zoom, reflow, form labels, and error messages.

Those checks are not a screen-reader test. A person still needs to try the site with NVDA and Firefox or Chrome, and with VoiceOver on iPhone and Mac, before this draft should be treated as finished.

  • Pages use one language, a skip link, headings, and landmarks.
  • The quote form groups choices with fieldsets, names every control, and ties errors to the field that needs attention.
  • The price updates in a polite live region only when the price actually changes.
  • Text and buttons were adjusted where the contrast was below WCAG 2.2 AA.
  • Focus stays visible and is moved out from under the sticky header and the mobile quote bar.

Known limitations

  • The instant price calculator needs JavaScript. If it does not run, call, text, or email us and we will price the clean with you.
  • Price tables are rows and columns. On a very narrow screen the table itself may scroll sideways inside its frame. The rest of the page should not.
  • Quote requests are sent to our form provider. You stay on this website. We do not control that provider's own website.
  • We have not yet completed a full pass with a screen reader and a person who uses one every day. That pass can still find issues these tools miss.
  • This statement will be updated after that pass. Until then, treat it as a draft.
